If you shrunk, you could sneak onto trains or cars to travel, maybe even planes for travel. It would also be incredibly difficult for someone to shoot you or use some kind of weapon against you. You wouldnt have to worry about predators either simce you could just go back to your regular size at any time (or vice versa you could avoid larger predators like bears bc they wouldnt want to hunt you anyways if you're the size of a bug). Smaller ftw

I’d go small- not only is that better for various physics reasons, but it would be way easier to make flying machines and/or use birds as transportation.

If I was asked that question, my first response would be to ask “does that shapeshifting happen with constant mass or constant density?” Because that would change the entire conversation.

Constant mass would mean I could become big enough to float like a balloon and small enough to become a black hole, but constant density would mean I could become super small and light and launch myself into space with a spoon or something.

I'd choose to ditch my "natural height" and instead choose 4'8" and 6" to swap between. I wanna be short, and then doll size. Bonus points if at doll size I'm also an animate ball jointed doll, because that just sounds fun.
