He was heckled by single veteran at this event, not by a crowd of veterans. I was there. the event is called Veterans on the Hill. It is an annual event held by the Veterans Service Organizations (American Legion, VFW, DAV, AMVETS, etc.) to promoted veterans issues at the Capital for the state of MN. They di this event during the legislative session in order to get our lawmakers to respond about veterans issues and actually pass laws for them, such as funding our veterans homes, addressing veterans homelessness and so on.
That heckler was shut down by others in the crowd pretty fast.

Just so people are aware. The US army has a T3R ratio of about 20%. That is the combat to non combat jobs. That means that only about 2 out of every 10 soldiers in the US army have combat roles. This means that the vast, vast, vast majority of veterans do not see combat. Are not involved in combat.

They still served, for whatever their reasons may be.
