1:47 the way Sam's textbox kicks Sylvia's out of the way. What kind of genius comes up with that??

andy and pac have managed to capture one of my greatest fears about myself and my future as an artist so perfectly. this video is horrifying, thanks

note how the portrait on the desk at 3:11 is just a blurry, messed up picture of your parents from the beginning, and how the song at that same spot has the same/similar tune of 'my folk's place.' nice lil details i love about this :] incredible animation
also id like to say that i LOVE that the purple dog and corrupt giraffe ceo both turn out to just be stuffed animals. idk i love that even if i dont know what it can convey symbolism-wise

I didn't know pay was bad for animators who work for studios, though, I suppose it only makes sense that it would be the case.

I like the thought of comparing uncaring and disrespecting people to the dead, and caring, trying ones to being alive

I feel a good bit of people missed why Andy referenced those creators. There very much is a reason Andy referenced them like they did in the video. It may, just might be, they're tired of being related to those creators.

2:49 hit hard.. amazing work. as someone who's studying animation and struggling, this really makes me think. Thank you for making these videos

I think it is important for you to know that this gave me a nightmare about working at a dead end animation job for a surreal megacorp, that's what i get for watching this late at night but i loved every second of it. This is one of the most specifically depressing animations i have ever seen and I think it is completely brilliant.

Ok so what I gather from this is that animation and videogame studios do not pay their employees a proper wage and instead abuse them into working extra hours.
Other than that, you're externalizing your fear of being obscured by bigger creators who also work on the "trippy/psychedelic" format, as well as having an audience who either deeply relates to your struggles and is inspired by your work or doesn't really care and treats it like "haha another weeeeird video on YouTube" without giving it a change.
"Those who are curious will pay attention" meaning that there's a group of people that actually want to know what the creator means with their pieces. People who FEEL the art.
And inside your mind, it's this eternal conflict of "will people understand me? Will they care enough about my animations to stay? Will they like my art? Will they like... me?"

Rewatching this and pausing multiple times throughout the animation.
What I got is that this animation shows how top companies such as Disney and Pixar exploit their animators and artists, paying them little to nothing.
The *THOSE* and *WHO* segments/statements are probably about the two types of audiences that Andy and other artists garnered. The ones that analyze it further, feeling the art and trying to find the intention behind it, and the others that simply watch and carry on with their day.
When the guy at the Pubb looks at Sylvia, and compares her to a bunch of artists (Joel G that made ENA, Baphomet Kun that makes weird edits, Jack Stauber who is known for his claymation, and Aimkid with their essentric and stretchy style), I feel like this is Andy speaking about his experiences of being compared. As an artist, being compared to bigger characters and artists despite them having little to no similarities with you or your character is infuriating.
In the “Dog Blood” section of the animation, this part reveals how companies truly treat their employees, even if they have higher positions such as CEO. They only care about their own profits and their own reputations, and not the care of their employees (I.e. paying them a higher wage, reducing back-breaking labor hours and the use of overtime, encouraging their employees to constantly work and work without any breaks). It is apparent when Sylvia accepts this poor management and behavior of the company as normal, saying, “That’s how the Apple rots, I guess.” and earlier before that, she’s officially lost it, “IM LOOSING ME.” not having the support of the company that she wanted.

A pretty good summarization of the current job market and getting a "career"
