Talk about a government money grab. From what i read, he shouldve been fined around 2000€ . But a judge increased it 50 fold, then the prosecutor said he is a danger and asked for another 16k fine. He appealed, they said no, but lowered the secondary fine by 5, 000. Free health care?

Seeing the size of the Greater Tokyo area compared to the UK makes me think of how many people forget how geographically big Canada is. Me included and I am Canadian. I have friends from parts of the world who can't believe how big it is. People associate Toronto and the CN tower, Vancouver and the rockies when they think of Canada. But not land size. Just to give you an idea, you can fit 20 Frances inside Canada, and France is pretty large! We are bigger than all of East Asia itself, too and are bigger than Australia! And then you look at places like frickin Japan that is easy to miss when you aren't actively searching for it on a globe.

Back in middle school years ago, my class was baffled when they saw Japan's land size compared to Canada (we were all dumb 9 year olds learning geography) Students could not believe it because you see pictures of Japan and it looks way bigger. Japan has a Disney, amusement parks, lots of people, roads, buildings etc. And looks like a speck compared to Canada. Like, we all knew Japan was small, but not _that_ small. Yet they manage to build such awesome stuff and hold so much. Then, we began discussing how big our country is. We couldn't believe it. Our teacher was laughing from our amusement.

But all in all, it was amazing! Makes me wonder if Japan was the size of Canada or had a fraction of Canada's land size added to the country, what other awesome things they would do with it?

Canada is just one giant land of natural wonder. Which I am not complaining about. I just wish I could afford to see the rest of Canada.
