175 The meaning of “Elect” in the Bible?

The Bible uses the word “elect’ and “election”, but what does this exactly mean? According to the Vine’s Expository Dictionary, the term “elect” is described as “to pick out, select,” means, in the Middle Voice, “to choose for oneself,” not necessarily implying the rejection of what is not chosen, but “choosing” with the subsidiary ideas of kindness or favor or love,”

The KJV Dictionary Definition says, “In theology, chosen as the object of mercy; chosen, selected or designated to eternal life; predestinated in the divine counsels.”

elect always always always means to be selected for some purpose to serve.. Judas was chosen so it has nothing to do with salvation. People are elected to serve some purpose, never means to be saved.

This subject requires much study. Understand, there is a difference between the chosen and the elect. The chosen are the true jews. The Israelite or children of jacob. The elect is the church. Those who have been washed in the blood of our Lord yahshua the Christ. These two people are the people of God. They are the two witnesses talked about in the book of revelation. They are the 10 virgins. The one half has the holy spirit by accepting Christ who sends him, and the other half do not possess the oil, but is still counted as bride. The bride can be rejected by the groom if she has not the spirit or anointing of the groom. Like i said.... there is far to much to consider.... at least much more than this video employs. Selah
