So, jianhao tan's mother is much kinder than denise's. Denise got 99 but it's still considered as an embarrassing achievement. Meanwhile, jianhao tan's mom after finding out that he got 49.5, she said "Mommy has two children just in case one of you screwed up. Yet both of you failed"

I’m just like Denise. My parents are strict and I mean very strict. They expect me to have a perfect score all the time. At first I was happy because I was making my parents happy when I showed them my results and scored 100%. As the years go by, they would pressure me to work harder and I would start to forget about myself and focusing more about bringing honour to the family. I couldn’t control myself and how I feel. Now, I think that it has gotten to the point where I start to be moody a lot and I’m not spending time with my parents much. I mostly stay in my room and cry. Kids in school would ask me if I’m ok and I would lie to them. I can’t be a normal kid like i was before I started high school. Making friends was hard and I rarely go to school programs because I would often think about my parents words and what they expect from me. So, a time will come that I will move out so that I don’t have to deal with the stress and how much pressure they put on me. I will make my own choices and still be successful no matter how many times I fail, I will not stop fighting to make my own decisions.
