Never heard such a concise and clear explanation of the 'whys' and 'how' of toning before. Thank you.

I went from a level 2 to a level 9 in one session. How my hair is still on my head and not dead is a miracle

Finally I understood what my hair dresser was trying to tell me. I can say I literally could decipher his language now. Thank you so much. Puts an end to endless pinterest searches and unrealistic expectations

She did a really good job breaking it down & explaining tone vs level. I feel much more comfortable now going from a level 7 to level 9 & being able to tone it correctly. 🤗

I know this is an older video, but as a newly licensed cosmetologist, I can’t thank you enough for the lesson! I feel like I just learned more from your video than I did in school about color levels. Thank you!

This is amazing! Thanks to Youtube I no longer cry after visits to the salon! I cut and color my own hair. My hair is long, healthy and has balayage. I am happy with my hair for the first time in my life at 39 and I am saving soooo much time and money!

Thank you for professionally explaining colors, tones, and the bleaching process on the type of hair that a person has.
Every time I go to a salon, these ladies are so rude to me when they try to explain the bleaching process.

I swear if I had a teacher like you I would have became a stylist. So interesting 🤔

I really enjoy knowing the language of a hairdresser. It totally helps with educating myself in getting better at home results.

It took me 1yr to go from black Indian hair to platinum ice white blonde. It was worth the wait.

I watched your videos numerous times ... then I bought demi color (wella brand) and for the first time in my life I colored my own hair (I am 61 lol).... I was so fearful of the dreaded orange head ... Being a level 9~10 I was so happy with what I had learned from your videos..!!! It gave me the confidence 12 weeks later to get Wella Charm permanent 10N and 10NA and follow your Balayage video... Again thank you! All is good and I am the blonde color I love... ;)

I have really dark hair and have went to lots of salons being very dissapointed afterwards with the blonding. So finally i was fed up did my own research left my hair to grow n become healthy again. Finally got my hair really bright blonde was amazing. So i used coconut oil on my hair first n it really helped with any breakage from the bleach. N it only took 3 bleaches. hope it works for you guys as it did for me😚

I naturally have that ashy color mentioned at 2:55 and I can't believe people want to dye their hair to that color?? like I've been dying my hair since I was 15 so I don't have that color. amazing

I used to think of hair coloring as rocket science. But you made it like 100% easier to understand

THANK So clearly explained, and after completely ruined hair, I got the hint this what I needed to do, but never anyone confirmed: I had beautiful, long, virgin brown hair. I was going through a rough time/quarter life crisis and wanted a change. I never wanted to be blonde, blonde, and did have a lot of damage and breakage. A friend got it in my head that she was afraid I would have to cut it. The only picture I envisioned that would be cute on me with shoulderish length hair was a dark ash blonde, like the photo in the 3:00 minute mark of the vid. I went to Ulta (again, didn't know what I was doing, because I never normally even touch my hair) asking for dark ash blonde- got an bright orange, then toned after going back, to auburny hair- beyond the opposite tone I was looking for. Fast forward two years later, and some disasters and from bad stylists..a lot of my hair broke off to my ears. Years later and now my hair is too short and can't get the look I was trying to achieve in 2016!!!! So now I have to wait for fall of 2018, or winter even, to finally get the look I was going for years prior (cuz I'm still waiting for it to grow). Had I known I would have to lighten my hair to such a light level, and then go back down to get a darker ash color, and would have saved me so many years of agony. I'm literally so depressed about my hair, everyday.
