Building for the Future: Fostering Intergenerational Collaboration to Create Strong AI Ecosystems
Показать описание
As we build a tech-enabled and AI-powered future, there is a need to foster more effective intergenerational dialogue, as well as ensure inclusivity and diversity in solution development. In current AI ecosystems, the lack of collaboration and misalignment in values between younger and older generations creates friction and frustration. On one hand, young people are seen as drivers of innovation and bring both the skills and expertise required to develop AI systems. On the other hand, older generations typically hold positions of financial and political power, and serve in an important advisory role given their experience.
To create strong AI ecosystems, collaboration and shared commitment between intergenerational groups is critical. In this Perspectives Interview, Ally Salim Jr, Megan Allen (founders of Elsa Health) and Stefan Germann (CEO at Fondation Botnar) discuss the challenges and opportunities, as well as share stories that highlight successful collaborations. They leverage their experiences as funders and innovators – particularly in the public health sector – to explore how organizations, individuals, and governments can work across generational lines to produce truly impactful and effective solutions.
