i had the exact opposite happen to me. 40 minute interview, first answering questions and then he started going through what working there would be like. finally, he said it was too bad all their positions were full and told me to maybe check back in 6 months to a year.

Me, an overthinker with anxiety: oh god is this a test?? Am I supposed to try even harder to pass the interview? Am I supposed to make him still want to hire me and change their mind about the other guy? Or is this a test on following orders? What if he just fooling with me? If I try walking out they'll laugh and tell me to come back but they already mark down that I'm not good at working with others! What if he kicks me out for not leaving when told to? He'll remember me and tell all he's co-workers! And everytime I come to this place they'll whisper about me
