Hello there, I’m Shimo-Ren.
To cover this song, I was curious about what kind of person Scatman John was, and when I looked it up, I was so impressed with his life.
He was born with a disorder called stuttering but he sort of turned the disadvantage into advantage and began to compose music with scat singing.
However, he was very afraid that the more his song sold, the more he would be featured on TV and have to talk in public. At that time he was suggested by his wife rather revealing his stuttering disorder in a song, so he started writing the song "Scatman."
It is also said that this song has an aim to invigorate children who are suffering from stuttering. When I heard that story, I thought I could do the same with beatboxing.
Beatboxers enjoy interacting with each other even without language but with beatboxing as a way of communication, no matter what country he/she is from.
Now beatbox is a lingua franca, a universal language.
I hope more and more people, including children with stuttering, to know about the beatbox so that they can save their lives thanks to beatbox.
