To limit servo throw, adjust the end points in the transmitter.

Hi there Steve, a great update to the steering system, I’m sure those with this great buggy and other buggies with a similar steering setup, will be able to follow your principles. Great modification indeed. Hope that you had a happy Easter. Best wishes 😊

That's a handy trick. My semi locks-up like that. A bump stop would do the trick.

You can see from the angle of the steering rods, if Tamiya had just moved the servo saver and servo back a little. That would have also helped with the steering issues.

When you screw the ball joints at the uprights in from the top instead of from the bottom, you'll probably get some degrees more from your steering.
I had to do that on my Rough Rider, as otherwise the steering rods touch the RC-box when the front suspension compresses.
I've also maximized the steering angle as much as possible, so that the outside tire almost touches the trailing arms. Maybe it's easier to achive with the Sand Scorcher / Buggy Champ linkage. Don't have it at hand at the moment, though…

They are great buggies but the steering is definitely an issue! I will have to sit down with mine and try this out!

You run your battery horizontal without anything holding it in place but the body?
