Why do you play healer in FFXIV?

The feeling of bring the party back from a wipe is unparalleled, honestly. Plus, I love juggling party health, my own DPS, and card buffs when playing AST - it's super engaging.

I feel much more connected to the results of the gameplay then for tank or dps. When I see someone's hp bar go from 20 to 100, i know I've had an impact.

I love busy classes and as an AST main I'm always getting to push buttons lol. I've always enjoyed healing too.

Because i enjoy it. Ive lvled other classes, but when im playing healer in between pulls i always feel excited

i started because usually people dont like playing support much less healing. but now i love healing because its so satisfying to have your teams' back!! and also, i stand in aoes way less, for some reason. its just easier to not get tunnel visioned when you have so many things to keep track of

Jokes aside my most satisfying moments as a Healer was when I successfully timed my Earthly Star, getting a crit Eukrasian Diagnosis on the tank, or being able to pull off a badass Rescue.

I play healer in case my friends want to play something other than healer. I also feel like if I would be a better player if I know more roles than the ones I'm comfortable/familiar with.

It's a nice change of pace. Most DPS jobs you barely have to notice anything beyond yourself (RDM being the main exception) and tanks you can just about roll your face across the keyboard and do decently at. I don't main heals, but I do enjoy doing it from time to time.

Ive played piano for years. There isnt a single dpa that doesnt feel shallow/easy for me mechanically. Keeping track of dps while also having team health and dodging mechanics. Its just so much more satisfying than mindlessly regurgitating combos.

I play healer so I can remind the tank who's really in charge. and also bc playing scholar makes my brain go

I main healing, cause it is very euphoric for me. I'm in Zen-mode, regardless on how cluster-buck the group(s) are at playing the game.

I play healer because I like working in the shadow. Being able to manipulate the battle field without anyone noticing and being the backbone of my team is pleasing to me. I hate the spotlight and that's why tank isn't for me and playing dps all day is boring.

I play healer for the power fantasy of being able to heal injuries that in real life would take forever to heal from if not outright impossible. Everyone can blow stuff up in real life with enough TNT, but bringing someone back from the brink of death up to full health in a matter of seconds? Yeah.

Because it's in my soul, every MMO I've played (Either Ragnarok online, Seal Online, etc) i always picked Healer class and my brother as dps and I've been stuck loving to keep the parties hp in healthy state 😂😂. But i learned in this game you have to dps also and I'm suck at managing my MP
