India is one of the greenest country in the world and we are also going solar, so i don't know why people complain. In villages people are already using solar electricity, electric scooter etc. I my self use solar heater.

Among G20 nations India is at 10th rank in Climate Change Performance Index whereas Germany is at 13th, France is at 17th, EU is at 22nd, UK is at 7th, US is at 55th and China is at 37th rank.
So don't blame India for climate change blame the developed nations having resources but they don't do it they just blame others. US government spending most of its money in military.

note: *5% coal emissions with 17 % of world's population* !!🧐
You can call me biased but India is being practical 👍.... Sitting in luxuries of developed world after wasting countless fossil fuels, it is easy to do these dramas and dream big 😒, it's implementation in reality in a highly populated developing country with huge sections living under poverty is a different story 🤨....
_Cut down_ and not _cut off_ coal supplies is the only practical solution here🙃...Shouting _how dare you_ from a Scandinavian country won't fix climate😉, thinking _how can you_ in these developing nations can😏....

This entire conversation is silly. The entire world outsources pharmaceutical manufacturing to India, product manufacturing to China. And with the geopolitical situation in China, countries are divesting from China and upping investments in India and Indonesia. Until the world admits that Western consumption is responsible for Eastern pollution, there can be no climate progress.

Western nations have alternate energy sources like atomic energy. But they still have millions of vehicles running on fossil fuel. In a country
like India, basic energy requirements for their large populations are just being met through conventional sources. We can't switch over to
green energy overnight. Phased implementation is the only practical solution.

Loved this segment. Paints a complete picture rather than most news channels just criticising developing countries for the last minute change.

India wanted to phase out coal but India needs alternative. Solar and wind are not enough for a huge nation like India. India needs nuclear energy. That's why India deserves to be a member of NSG group in order to obtain nuclear technology as well as raw materials which are impossible without NSG.
Blaming developing nations like India won't help in climate fight. Helping developing nations by developed nations will.

India has primarily plant based low carbon diet. Maybe other countries should adopt this diet first before lecturing India on climate change.
