honestly deepseek v3's pretty good on benchmarks but the low context window (2k tokens) and lack of vision capabilities makes it hard to use for real-world applications. we've tested it extensively at jenova ai and decided not to include it in our model router - claude 3.5 sonnet and gemini 1.5 pro are just way more practical for everyday use

most ppl don't realize how impt multimodality is until they need to analyze an image or understand a chart. that's why we're sticking w/ the top proprietary models for now, even if they cost more to serve
