Finally someone said it! Thx Nathan! Yes, rooftop tents are stooopid for most users. Its a fad and people quickly realize their biggest value is how cool the vehicle looks. Unless you actually overland full time or for extended periods I rather use a regular ground tent.

It does seem like the inexpensive, simple, capable rigs that can go far off-road for fun are missing. I get awsome high line rigs get the press. I have a fairly capable 2014 4Runner trail and we have fun getting out there and don't have to worry about $20, 000 paint or $10, 000 wheels...the Buhanka, makes me happy!

Nice video! Would love to be there! I'm not a huge fan of roof top tents either because I don't have a great place store it or can fit myJeep in my garage with it on. Also, I live in TX and it is just too hot in the summer for me. I believe that if I lived in Colorado, for example, had tons of public state land and with beautiful weather at night then I might re-consider. We just prefer a home base and use a lightweight taxa cricket. Works for us at least but as usual there are draw backs to that as well.
