Getting ahead of the Saturday snow in north Georgia

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for some counties for up to 4 inches of snow; A Winter Weather Advisory is up for much of the rest of north metro Atlanta.

l live 6 miles from the GA/NC line off of 129/19 between Blairsville and Murphy. We got plastered with heavy snow, all the roads were a mess/accidents everywhere (no one up here has dedicated winter tires just truck tires at best or AS. I Had to go up to Andrews and after an hour of waiting for police to open the road twice because of wrecks and needed snow plows I turned around and took the unplowed back roads up and down old mountain roads. Got up there and back just fine. Once again the 18 yr old 4x4 Toyota Highlander with ETC/Snow feature and dedicated winter/Ice Michelin's came through. That's 70 miles of unimproved, unplowed mountain roads folks. GO Toyota Highlander, GO Michelin Winter/Ice!

snow is amazing down here in lithonia last year there wasnt any snow but before that there was, nice to see snow back again
