Oprah Winfrey is getting candid about Ozempic and weight loss. The 68-year-old recently hosted "The State Of Weight" panel as part of Oprah Daily’s “The Life You Want” series at the Hearst Tower in New York City. During the open conversation, she shared her thoughts on the latest Hollywood weight loss trend, the FDA-approved prescription drug for people with Type 2 diabetes. "Shouldn't we all just be more accepting of whatever body you choose to be in? That should be your choice,” Oprah declared. “Even when I first started hearing about the weight loss drugs, at the same time I was going through knee surgery, and I felt, 'I've got to do this on my own.' Because if I take the drug, that's the easy way out.'" Despite not addressing if she has ever, or would ever try the medication, also known as Wegovy and Mounjaro, Oprah went on to slam people who criticize anyone who takes it. "It should be yours to own and not to be shamed about it. As a person who's been shamed for so many years, I'm just sick of it," she said.

Comes down to don't listen to old talk show hosts who don't care about people and only line their pockets.

It comes down to mental health, and how people think, i.e., our thoughts. We are also full of negative thoughts from growing up, from our environment, from our exposures to media, that it’s almost impossible to have a positive thought anymore. I didn’t start losing weight until I turned the TV off, spent six months meditating, and changed the way I think. Yes, six months. But I lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off. That was much much easier than going through weight loss surgery and dealing with all that or taking one drug after another after another. I was overweight for 40 years, but no more.

If she thinks we think she didn't use Ozempic then she's a fool! It's very obvious how drastic it is and how her face looks. Those who deny are lying.

The problem is there is now a shortage for diabetics who need that drug to stay alive, whilst these weight loss people need it just to look good

Good job changing around the words if you don't have diabetes then you shouldn't be taking it
Stop shaming people for what you do
Stop blaming everyone for your problems

how many acres did Oprah buy in Maui, just this year? I don't care if she 'looks stunning' with all her money she better look good- but back to Maui and all that land ...

The constant struggle financially for years and then to have a multi billionaire asking us to donate money is INSULTING and disgusting. She must think we are dumb pesants.

Diabetic people need Ozempic not overweight celebrities

Oprah, what about the Keto gummies that you have been promoting ❓ I agree that people should be able to loose weight anyway they choose BUT at least be honest about it.

I've kept 100lbs off for 12 years. What Oprah is too proud to admit is that she is addicted to flour, sugar and quantities. The word addict is shameful, but it set me free. I joined a 12 step program and found peace with my out-of-control eating. Diets, exercise, drugs nor psychedelics could help me lose even 10 lbs. At 63, I am still healthy and slim. There is hope and it is FREE! ❤

While their efficacies and safety profiles are widely accepted, long-term adverse events such as increased risk of intestinal obstruction have been reported in diabetic patients, which is 4.5 times higher than those receiving other glucose control medications.

It's SO disappointing that even our most revered icons can not find a way to lose weight by using age-old methods like portion control, not eating at night, etc. Yes, this takes will power!

You can immediately tell who's on these drugs by how they look, Kelly Osborne looks really old and enorexic, while Kelly Clarkson looks youthful and just really good.

Support comes from truth. At least she admitted she had help and didn't just tell ppl she exercised and starved herself to lose every pound. It's like Someone having a bunch of procedures done to their face then telling people it's the cream they sell that makes them look so great. Kudos to Oprah for being truthful.

We are not slamming them. We just know it's a serious effect on the body from the drugs

Here is the real problem, so many people are taking it for weight loss that diabetics can't get it. Diabetics should get first dibs on diabetic medication.
I'd love to lose weight the easy way, don't have a problem with that but dietetics need the medication first and people need to know that when you get off ozempic you gain the weight right back.
