Starsector is such an amazing game. Its like Mount and Blade in space, combined with the customization of Mechwarrior. Customizing ships like they were battlemechs, including heat (flux) capacity. I've got so many hours in this game, and even more thanks to all the great mods from the community.

This so reminds me of my first time in the amazing game. Now hundreds of hours with and without mods have been played, in fact I played at least 70 hours last week. Hope Cohh likes it and carries on and discovers the great mods, as some of the Factions available with ships that are right up Cohh's street.

Man! I tried Cosmoteer after seeing it on Cohh's channel and while I loved the combat, it really made me go back to play Starsector again. Funny to see Cohh getting it recommended right after Cosmoteer too.

I waited for YEARS for Cohh to finally give Starsector a try, I knew he would love it, this game is right up his alley. Starsector is kinda hard to get started in, but once you do, it's a game you can get lost in forever, especially with all the mods. I'm glad he is liking it so far :)

Couple recommended mods, increase level to 30. If you're feisty the 4x mod.

Wow, you hadn't played Starsector yet? One of my favs, in rotation with Kenshi, and Bannerlord. Any time I see a space game, I have to compare it to Starsector, and see how it fares. (all fail)

Starsector has been in "EA" for literally a decade now. Updates have been basically yearly. its one of those games, like Minecraft, Dwarf fortress. Just forever EA, but basically a fulls game content years ago.

A good number of mods are available for the game due to its popularity and long history. Nexerilin is highly recommended, as it adds 4x elements missing in vanilla. (factions colonizing, or conquering other planets. when they are static in vanilla)

Combat can take a very long time to get used to. or, just outright let the Auto-pilot do the fighting, and issue RTS like commands.
