Love your impact series. I'd be interested in one about hemp

Ergo, shopping at the thrift store...recycle, repurpose and reuse. It was good in the 1970’s and still good now😊 great video, fabulous info.

Thank you so much for your diligent research. You work so hard to bring us these important facts, and I appreciate it! Your channel has taught me so much about sustainability.

Having just posted my comment about despairing over bamboo sheets that are more chemicals than they are bamboo... what is the most sustainable type of bedding/sheets?

Ok so if second hand is not an option... organic cotton vs. bamboo viscose vs. recycled plastic/polyester 😅😅 what to choose?🤷🏻‍♀️

Really interesting video! ☺️
Because you talked about it: Could you maybe also make a video about Lyocell and Monocel?

I like your style, usually I hate commentators but I saw your whole video without thinking on "OMG" and change to other video. Kudos, Oh! lend me those eyes, I need them to be attractive for once in my life. Be blessed.

You're doing such a great job at providing us with information that would be difficult to piece together on our own. Thanks for all your hard work.

Honestly, i am at a point were i try second hand shopping, then organic materials and if nothing helps, buying a piece of clothing from fast fashion. I am tired of doing constant research on everything i want to buy and i just do the best i can. I will not order from overseas from sustainable companies and risk the item getting lost or the clothing not fitting well and having a hard time getting my money back. I sadly got scammed a few times by eco friendly companies and i rather buy clothing i can try on before buying.

Hi Gittemary, great content!
1 Ques: When you mentioned "raw bamboo indeed is antibacterial like pest repellent but there's no evidence to support those qualities being transferred into the textile when it undergoes chemical processing", does that mean ONLY viscose made from bamboo doesn't have such properties? How about the bamboo clothing made of bamboo linen (i.e. via the mechanical + natural enzyme process)?

thank you for this very interesting video! one thing for consumers to keep in mind is that a lot of bamboo based clothing, such as underwear and socks, but also t-shirts etc., are mixed with nylon and polyester to make them more stretchy.

Thank you for addressing this. The labelling of bamboo fibres a sustainable material has been bothering me for a while! Regarding TENCEL, it is unfortunately so, so expensive!

WHOA... bamboo fabric that is no longer bamboo?? What da heck? I desperately need to order new sheets, and I’ve thinking of getting bamboo sheets. Kinda sounds like I might be sleeping on chemical sheets and not bamboo sheets. ARGH!! 😪

Thanks for this video and the information / diagram of the chemical / boiling process they use to make bamboo into fibers. Very eye opening and tells us the entire environmental impact of the products we purchase. For me being bamboo clothing, sheets, and towels because bamboo requires less water then cotton to grow. But now I am wondering if in the final product / growth and process duration if that is still true?

Now going to go watch your other video on this subject.

Thank you so much for clarifying this. We see so much bamboo everywhere (even in baby stuff!) I was beginning to think maybe I’m not up to date and bamboo is not bs anymore, maybe cleaner than it used to... nope 😅
It’s so difficult for consumers, not everyone has the time to do research, so it’s very easy to believe all that green washing. Thanks to people like you, it gets a little bit easier one video at a time 😉

This was really eye-opening, thank you so much! I'm so grateful for your work and guidance through this crazy world full of greenwashing...
