"For seven years, I’ve been beyond lucky.

Being part of this house, with its impressive past and rich archives is, of course, a blessing. My team and I have been allowed to draw upon an incredibly inspiring legacy, building upon the foundations that others laid well before us. Today’s singular silhouette and recognizable style owes much, of course, to the traditions and talents of the house that Pierre Balmain built.

But, as those familiar with our house’s history already know, M. Balmain’s incredible vision was not one that looked backward. He was a man of his time—and his postwar era was one of renewed hope in new possibilities. He was inspired enough by future visions to boldly break with many well-established conventions of his time.

That’s why I feel that what you are seeing today pays a special homage to this house’s legacy. Just like Pierre Balmain, I have used this collection to challenge myself to look forward, playing with new ideas, techniques, materials and colors. And this runway’s fresh palette, neon pops and surprising materials have also helped inspire us, as we launch the worlds’ first digital accessory. Our new Balmain Snapchat lens not only reflects the colors of the collection—it also makes clear that we are committed to pushing the boundaries of how people experience Balmain, reflecting our strong commitment to ensuring we are always as inclusive and accessible as possible.

Finally, while respecting our past and looking to the future, this collection continues to reflect our present—most particularly the confidence, daring and power of today’s women who form our diverse and beautiful Balmain army."

This collection does so much and still stays true to the DNA of Balmain. Mr. Olivier Rousteing said that he imagined what Balmain could look like in 2050 for this Autumn/Winter collection. Latex, PVC, Mesh, Nylon, patent leather, crystals and studs on the heels. The use of neon pink, electric blue, neon green and neon yellow made this a futuristic palette. I love the clear, neon green and neon orange thigh high boots. Thank This is exactly why I consider Balmain to be the best designer because Olivier Rousteing makes the most exquisite garments for both men and women. It is not fair to insult the designer or Balmain because of the celebrities he dresses. You have no right to speak on the quality, craftsmanship or embroidery of Balmain if you don’t own the clothes and have never seen the garments in person. I am so sick of people complaining about which models he chooses or doesn’t because you are not the model casting director. Once again, Rousteing has done for Balmain what no other designer before him at Balmain has done. Olivier is so inspiring that investors have launched their New York and Los Angeles stand-alone boutiques. No white Balmain designer before Olivier, not Oscar De La Renta nor Christophe Descartin, Nobody has accomplished what this young Black designer has done in less than a decade! The numbers speak for themselves, if Olivier was not doing an impeccable job then he would not still have one!

I love Balmain n I used 2 watch it...the clothing n trends are as nice as usual...but the music played while they are walking isn't as nice as wat you did in da 2016/2017...I really love all of the 2016/2017 balmain music...it is very much matching while they are walking...and it is very inspiring...it makes the show more great n elaborate it

I like balmain didn't watch every season but love the 2017 spring/summer goddesses and early years women armour embodiment, sexy and strong but I do not get this, not really futuristic but lame and cheap, like those kardasian inspired season years back just really ugly.
