Haha That's crazy. I had an 89 I got brand new when I was 18 and drove it until 97 when it had almost entirely fallen apart. That car served me well.

A serious question:
If I bought a Festiva then found a 2nd Festiva donor car, do you think that the 2nd drivetrain in the rear would clear the rear hatch?
In the late 1980’s I worked for a Napa who bought a new one with a 5 speed manual transmission. They removed the rear seats to add cargo room. Aside from it being scary passing a semi on the highway I thought it was a fun little car to drive.

Loved my 88'. Unfortunately the rear swing arm mounts have rusted terribly, and the car isn't safe to drive anymore.

I had an 89 Festiva L…manual 4spd 3 cylinder. With no air….i smelled like fried chicken in the summertime. It did come with a Blaupunkt SQR29 pullout though.
