In this video (A very challenging problem.) I will show an equation (tan(alpha)=fct(weight, beta)) of when the beads are in equilibrium around a wire-circle.

The way you break down problems is makes understanding them so much easier.

Another solution is

Sum of moment at center of circle = 0, this will eliminate some moments of some forces, remaining the moments of w1 and w2

w1(r)cos(90-a-b) = w2(r)cos(a+90-b)

w1 sin(a+b) = w2 sin(b-a)
w1 sin(a)cos(b) + w1 sin(b)cos(a) = w2 sin(b)cos(a) - w2 sin(a)cos(b)

w2 sin(a)cos(b) + w1 sin(a)cos(b) = w2 sin(b)cos(a) - w1 sin(b)cos(a)

(w2 + w1) sin(a)cos(b) = (w2 - w1) sin(b)cos(a)

(w2 - w1)/(w2 + w1) sin(b)/cos(b) = sin(a)/cos(a)

(w2 - w1)/(w2 + w1) tan(b) = tan(a)
