Look how bad this fiberglass pool is. Chipping and flaking of the gel coat can many times be avoided. Some causes can include age of the pool and/or lack of maintenance.

Fiberglass pools are a wonderful choice, but they need to have the chemicals balanced and are not particular to high chlorine levels, or those pool owners that might be overly enthusiastic about adding chemicals.
