Filmed on 26 April 2011, which was actually Wittgenstein's 122nd birthday. It was THREE days before the 60th anniversity of his death. He died on 29 April, 1951. Oops...

This is a good online source for a quick overview of Wittgenstein's philosophy, but be warned, there really is no way to reduce him to a few pages:

Yes, he was BORN on 26 April 1889 and died just after his 62nd birthday on 29 April 1951.

I was depending on notes I made at university and I mistook a 6 for a 9.

Not good when you can't read your own writing :)

St Giles is a church and church yard at the top of Castle Hill on Castle Street. It's on the right as you bike out to Ascension Burial Yard, so I can see why it might be easy to confuse the two.

It's a bike ride away...Not this time of year though. It's very cold in the fens right now, so I'd need to take a short train ride and then walk out from the station, but spring is coming. By late April I should be able to bike it.

Also, part of the confusion probably comes because Ascension itself was known as St. Giles and St. Peter in the past.

The left lemon is a continuing phenomenon. The first record of it I could find online goes back to 2001. I wonder if it's the same shadowy figure doing it.

Thank you for doing this video. Wittgenstein really understood the problem of a world where God is dead. He is the greatest philosopher of last century.

Actually, he was BORN 122 years ago today, and Friday will be the 60th anniversary of his death. Not that I KNEW that. You forced me to look him up.
