How to animate Roblox in blender 2024 (tutorial)

THE TECHNICIAN HERE:
I WILL TROUBLESHOOT ALL UR PROBLEMS :D


1. CANT SEE RIG IN BLENDER
IM NOT SURE, TRY GOING TO ANIMATION TAB. IF THAT DOESNT WORK TOO, DIRECTLY OPEN THE RIG FILE INSTEAD OF GOING TO BLENDER AND THEN IMPORTING IT

2. RIG DOESNT HV TEXTURE
ADD TEXTURE THROUGH SHADING TAB, THERE WILL BE A TAB WITH MORE SMALL TABS, CLICK THE SMALL TAB WITH AND REPLACE ITS IMAGE WITH THE IMAGE PROVIDED IN THE LINK


3. CANT ANIMATE
MAKE SURE UR IN POSE MODE, GO TO MODES AT TOP, U MOSTLY WILL BE IN OBJECT MODE, CLICK AND CHANGE IT TO POSE MODE, IF THERE ISNT POSE MODE, GO TO ANIMATION TAB FIRST, THEN FOLLOW MY 4TH SOLUTION

4. CANT SEE POSE MODE
JUST CLICK THE BLACK THIN LINE AND ULL SEE IT

5. CANT MOVE RIG
U HV TO CLICK THE THIN BLACK LINE AND GO TO POSE MODE AND PRESS G OR USE THE MOVE TOOLS, IF U CANT SEE TOOLS THEN GO TO VIEW (NEAR MODE) AND ENABLE TOOLBAR


6.CANT SEE RBX TAB THING:
IF U CANT SEE RBX TAB THING THEN GO TO VIEW (NEAR MODES) AND ENABLE SIDEBAR

OR PRESS "N"

IF U STILL CANT SEE IT, U DIDNT INSTALL THE PYTHON FILE CORRECTLY, MAKE SURE TO ADD ".py" AT THE END OF UR FILE AND SELECT ALL FILES INSTEAD OF TXT FILE


7.IMPORTING DOESNT WORK:
USE RIG FROM TOOLBOX, USE RIGS WHICH R SUPPOSED TO BE USED FOR MOON ANIMATORS FOR FREE IN TOOLBOX

8. SCRIPT GETS "DELETED"
THE SCRIPT ISNT GETTING DELETED, ONCE U PASTE UR ANIMATION LINK FROM BLENDER (U GET IT COPIED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN U CLICK EXPORT ANIMATION), PASTE IT IN THE SCRIPT, IT CLOSES ITSELF, COZ IT JUST TAKES THE LINK AND THEN UR ANIMATION GETS IMPORTED, IF IT DOESNT CONSIDER MY 4TH POINT

9. WHEN U CREATE UR 2ND ANIMATION AND OPEN THE RIG, U MIGHT HAVE SAVED UR FIRST ANIMATION, TO REVENT THAT, USE SAVE AS (CTRL + SHIFT + S) WHEN U WERE SAVING UR FIRST ANIMATION, IF U DIDNT DONT WORRY, DELETE ALL KEYFRAMES, AND THEN :

Select All Bones: In Pose Mode, press A to select all the bones in the armature.
Clear Transformations: Press Alt + G to reset the location, Alt + R to reset the rotation, and Alt + S to reset the scale.




IF UR FIRST TIME IN BLENDER:
GO TO VIEW TAB (NEAR MODES), ENABLE SIDEBAR, NOW U HV ALL TOOLS YIPEE, BUT SHORTCUTS ARE:
-Press "i" to make a keyframe(u automatically create a keyframe when u move something so this part is kinf of uselss)
-to move a object press g
-to rotate a object press r
-to do both at the same time press t



TIPS:
- WHEN ANIMATING, U CAN USE EASING STYLES TO MAKE IT MORE SMOOTHER OR DIFF TYPES, CANT EXPLAIN, JUST FIND A TUTORIAL OR SHOWCASE OF A RUNNING ANIMATION

- YOU CAN CLICK A TO CLICK ALL KEYFRAMES, THEN U CAN USE "S" TO STRECH THE KEYFRAMES, BY DOING THIS U CAN MAKE IT FASTER OR SLOWER

3:12 to create a character you can also do Avatar > Rig Builder > Select Rig > Set its PrimaryPart to HumanoidRootPart

i watched a lot of tutorials to do this and none of them worked but then i saw this as a last hope told myself one last try before i give up and its good i did so because it worked tysm man

one thing i would say though is that at 2:46, it isn't required to have a character inserter plugin because of roblox's built-in rig builder widget. you can find said widget in the avatar tab. (i hate how like half of the videos i've watched which include rig creation in studio skip over the actual rig builder and resort to plugins instead)
