My husband is a blue collar guy and has worn carhart for over 20 years and we have been married for over 20 years. LL Bean is too expensive and shouts New England snob to me and born rich and entitled. Here in southern Appalachia, most working men wear carhart and it shouts just that, they’re hard working. Those are the guys that can actually work the land, on your house, on appliances, and your car, all while holding down a full time job. That’s my man anyway 😉

As a man, i am really confused by all of this. It's a jacket, it keeps me warm and it's comfortable to wear. There's not much more to it than that. It doesn't say anything other than warmth when worn.

I still wear the same carhart jacket I was given back in high-school, 20yrs old and still as good as the day I got it even though I wear it everyday as a trucker. The only thing I have that's older is my St.Christopher from my great grandmother.

A lot of men could care less about fashion or what a jacket says. We wear what is comfortable and what we like. I have never understood the obsession with name brands. Most of it is of lesser quality for an inflated price. People who try and impress strangers with clothes and name brand stuff are typically shallow, vain and narcissistic.
