Sky's Beth Rigby questions Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer at Sky's Battle for Number 10 leaders' event, ahead of the general election in July.

She says he told the country Jeremy Corbyn would be a great leader for the country, then expelled him from the party, and he campaigned for a second EU referendum but doesn't talk about it now.

Sir Keir says he decided it had to be "country first" and "party second".

She asked him if he meant it when he said Corbyn would be a good prime minister. He said he knew he wouldn’t win. That doesn’t answer the question. Sunak does the same. They are so scared of saying the wrong thing that they just repeat soundbites, which makes them weak leaders who can’t be trusted. If he’d just said no but I had a loyalty to the Labour Party, I’d totally respect that.
