Also gotta mention the amazing job drawing more of the frame to make it 16:9. It was done so well I had to double check that youtube didn't just stretch it.

This is so clear it actually allowed me to see stuff I never noticed before, like the after image effects on Quick Man before he attacked, and the air distortion from the heat of the big snake's fire. Amazing work!

To finally see how this could have looked beyond 240p resolution and without the heavy artifacting from the original versions. Absolutely fantastic work!

Suffice to say, trying to upscale the original version of this game's intro FMV with AI would have been nigh impossible with messy results, at best.

This is beautiful. Major, major props for making this look like it'd belong in a near-future Mega Man 12. If you end up having the time, I'd love to see remasters of the other cutscenes from MM8, maybe even X4 since it's also PS1?

Huge thanks for doing this, especially since we all know Capcom would've never bothered. While the compression for 90's anime gives it a pretty neat look in hindsight, for the sake of appreciating all the work that went into the animation, something this clean is invaluable (even if everything was technically remade).

Masterfully done! MM8 had an incredible opening when it first came out on PS1, and this reanimation into 4K does it justice perfectly.
