Find out more about the RME AVB Tool at;
At the Winter NAMM Show 2020, RME built on their reputation as the Masters of Networking by unveiling three all-new audio networking devices – the 12Mic, AVB Tool and M-1610 Pro. Featuring outstanding performance, reliability and functionality, these new products represent the next generation in audio network technologies.
We caught up with RME’s developer Marc Schettke for a rundown of the all-new AVB Tool, RME’s MADI-AVB Interface.
The RME AVB Tool is a router, mic preamp, MADI and AVB converter and more.
The AVB Tool offers pristine analog conversion from its four high-precision microphone, instrument and line level inputs as well as a headphone output and separate line level outputs.
Following RME’s concept of maximum versatility and connectivity, 128 channels of MADI I/O as well as 128 channels of AVB are available. With such incredible connectivity in a half-rack form-factor, the AVB Tool is invaluable in a multitude of applications.
The AVB Tool follows the IEEE standards for AVB, allowing for RME devices to be both discovered and fully controlled by any AVB controller. This makes vendor-specific control protocols a thing of the past.
