I quit the alcohol. First. Now working out. Eating healthy. Weight coming down. It all adds up to clarity.

I did everything Jocko said in this video before I heard him speak. I discovered this truth thru a hard life. At 50 years old I was 50 lbs overweight and terribly unhappy. I knew I needed to start working out and modify my diet. I tried to do this thru being motivation. Motivation failed because it is tied to emotion. I learned that I needed to push past motivation, which is tied to feelings, and get to DISCIPLINE. I told myself, fuck your feelings, get your bitch is out of bed and go to the gym. No one gives a fuck how you feel or if your motivated. For the past two years I have been getting up at 5:00 am every day and going to the gym 6 days a week while eating an all carnivore diet. I lost 55 lbs and now I am down to 10.2% body fat. I have a six pack at 55 years old…Fuck your feelings! Get out of bed and get it done!

I was bullied all through school for being skinny and "too pretty". I started working out Freshman year, started martial arts Sophomore year. I joined the Marine Corps and I've been training for almost my entire life now. I hated my childhood, always being picked on and bullied, but if I'd never started training I'd just be another whiner and complainer. You still meet bullies as an adult, I've had several opportunities to put them in their place and that is one of the greatest experiences I've ever known.

Almost 3:00am. Played this while caffeine kicks in.
Prolly could use a rest day but pulse rate on bike warmup will add clarity.
You rock Jocko!
I’m a mini-freak - I live what you’re preaching - free and healthy at 68 with no plans of letting up.
Time to rip it up…

Love it- “… and for your team” “… and for others”. This man has a heart to serve. You’ll notice he constantly sprinkles in reminders that so called ‘self improvement’ is not just for your own benefit.

Giving up alcohol and eating bad starting today . I don’t know why but I came across this video! It has motivated me specifically, mentally, physically and financially!

Part of being responsible is not just benefiting from pastors and prayer warriors but doing the spiritual heavy lifting for yourself. Until we all get to know how much God loves us we will continue to count on mere humans to be our answer to problems that often have a spiritual component.

I’ve totally stopped taking the easy way.
Up at 02:45 AM every day, in bed by 08-09 PM every night.
Working out on average 2 hours every day, meditating for at least 1 hour every day.
Walking my dogs for a total time of 1 h 45 min every day.
Walking on average 22.000+ steps every day.
40 years old and going stronger than ever.
Best of luck to all the other people not taking the easy way anymore.

I’m a 42 year old man. The power of habit is the best thing I have ever developed with myself. I lift from 7:00-8:00am, 1:00-2:00pm, 5:30-6:30pm M-F every week. I do BJJ from 10:00-11:30am MWF, 9:00-11:00am Sat, and 10:30-1:00pm. I do this without question, without thinking, without motivation, without external influences. Every week, week in week out. I have done this for over a year. My physical body has completely transformed, my skills have exploded. I even received my purple belt in BJJ. The days I don’t want to do things. I acknowledge it, then ignore it and do what I habitual do. Those days have been my best days.

Trained in mental health as LPC. This video is the most brutal truth about discipline. Everything in this video is the brutal truth. But it is so damn true. He know what he is talking about. Clear and simple. Thank you.

"Find your guts and passion and find your will, and then you will find your freedom." I'm not interested in building muscle, per se, but I am interested in finding discipline and freedom by controlling my ego. Thanks!

This video is so inspiring! Jocko Willink's words really hit home. It's true, improving ourselves takes dedication and hard work, but it's worth it in the end. I love how he emphasizes that it's not about finding shortcuts, but making it a lifestyle. I'm definitely subscribing and looking forward to more motivating content like this!

Everything every single word here is 100% spot on. If you want a detailed and full explanation of how to get all this and more and you want to become this then you will find this very useful. It is all in the mind, control that mind and conquer yourself.

Jocko is a boss that I aspire to be like. And I live his philosophy, which is simple but not easy. I've personally found that it seems every time I get started, already half the battle is won. And the other half is used to put forth all remaining effort since I've already put forth the effort to get started. Thinking about tasks too much make me hesitant and not as confident. But I love what Mr. Willink said at the last: you stayed on the righteous path, the disciplined path, the warpath, which is right where you know you belong!!! Time to get it!
