Foot Shaking or Foot-Trembling:
The Nothern Lapwing sometimes feeds by foot shaking or foot-trembling. It produces light vibrations of the ground and should ‚simulate‘ rain in order to disturb the invertebrates hidden into the soil

Fußtrillern oder Bodenklopfen:
Der Kiebitz, zittert mit dem Bein, um Beutetiere aus dem Boden zu locken. Mit dem zitternden Bein erzeugt er leichte Erschütterungen des Bodens und täuscht Regen vor, was Beutetiere, z. B. Regenwürmer, aus ihren Löchern lockt.
