This machine was featured prominently in some tracks of Cocteau Twins' Blue Bell Knoll. You can hear it on Carolyn's Fingers and For Phoebe Still A Baby.

Such a classic. Used my dads a few times. It had all kinds of keyboard samples, could make a whole song with the thing!

THEE THING ABOUT THIS MACHINE, Guddamn Awesome!! If ya have one in your possession... or want to get one. It is what is now considered a 'work station'... back in the day it was call as sequencer... There are direct outputs for all instrument/voices to record directly or in a live performance applications! The midi applications are versatile.(hook up a midi keyboard or drum kit n get off!)
The sounds are great and not saturated with 'verb' like Roland's internal sounds back in that late 80's era! Put whatever external FX you want on it to control the sound in your mix. Anyone can still use this machine to make music in 2015. Down side, I recall... There was no way to save your material to a disk, but but but, maybe to another midi device, which can, if ya know what ya're doin', save it.

Bloody hell it brings back memories. I used to have one of those. I thought it was so advanced at the time!

My favourite drum machine of alltime. I will have to dust mine off and use it in my next DX7 demos. There are certain sounds that cant be bettered like the Kick and Tambourine. Prince used it really well on Sign O The Times. And Word Up by Cameo is the best example of what th8s awesome machine can do.

Классная вещь. В 80х эту драм машинку использовала вся советская эстрада и многие рок команды 🤗☝️

I've noticed some sounds from this machine in a couple old video game soundtracks: The ride bell and crash cymbal in Konami's Gradius III and the hi-hats in Capcom's Super Street Fighter II.

Is it possible to recreate the drum beat on Sacrifice by Elton John? he used one of these on that song.

The low tuned snare sounds very similar to the one on the Linn 9000.
