No lie, Pete and Tom act like goofballs but there aren't many climbers who are bolder but sane. James P, Dave Mac, Birkett? I can't tell if Hazel F is sane, Franco definitely isn't and Johnny isn't human so he doesn't count.

Weird how engrained the divide between men and women is even in climbing - a young community with a technical sport. For flexibility and footwork, he could have easily chosen a woman. But I bet he didn't even consider it for a second.
