I lived in Chula Vista in the early 70s at the end of the Vietnam War. I bought a house for 18, 900. Now worth a half million. I loved my years there. The weather, the culture, the community. I left after 4 years but I have never lived anywhere that I loved as much.

Would of really liked to see some statistics on crime. CV has been nationally recognized as one of the safest cities in the US.

There also seems to be more crime reported recently in East Chula Vista.

Also, there is only one toll freeway that runs through CV.

You are not forced to use the 125 freeway, you can still drive west on many of the surface streets to the 805.

CV is also known for being a city that has a large number of public parks that many residents enjoy using.

Last point, if you google map how far Chula Vista is to downtown, North Park, Hillcrest and Mission Valley, we are within 20 mins of each of this locations during non peak traffic hours.

FYI im a local.. we dont and will not become North Park. in WEST Chula. We dont want stacked appartments, .. also notice how we dont want HOA either.

Chula vista East is very hot, Chula Vista west the climate is comfortable because it is close to the Bay.

Good video! many years ago i lived in San Diego, mainly uptown, and had a co-worker who lived in chula Vista. I went there once to see a play, which I think was in the downtown area.

South of downtown there is litter everywhere! Chula is like Kingston Jamaica or southeast San Diego! Dog's litter crime!
