For Xbox One X, it’s apparently best to set it to 8 bit colour depth with 4:2:2 enabled. This means that when you play SDR content it will not be forced to 10/12 bit with chroma subsampling. When you play HDR content the Xbox switches automatically to 10 bit for that, and if you have 4:2:2 enabled you will not be forced to 4:2:0 subsampling.

In a nutshell, 8 bit with 4:2:2 enabled gives the best possible quality for both HDR and SDR

OK, this is a game console 1st. How about make a new video showing the pros and cons of selecting 8bit vs 10bit and Standard vs PC RGB on Gears 5? YCC422 selected may override for Blue Ray movies at 24fps but games are played between 30-60fps

We bought a gaming console to play games as well and not watch bluray only i don't understand why he would not show us games with allow ycc 422.

If I enable ycc 422 on my xbox one x, I loose hdmi connection to my sony xe9005. Sometimes it works ans sometime it doesnt. I left it off and everything seems fine.
