Too bad Crescent adjustable wrenches and pliers are now imported junk.
The last American manufacturer of adjustable wrenches was Western forge, but they were shut down by ideal industries a few years ago.
Vise grip is also imported junk, the original petersons were great but the imported Irwin's not so much, the Malco eagle grips are the best ever made and are the only American made locking pliersbut sadly nobody cared enough about buying American and the factory is closing after barely a year.
Lufkin is now sadly a ghost brand as well, it's probably been 15 years or more since a Lufkin product was made here.
American Tape makes good measuring products here at least.
For hammers, whenever I feel the need to go new over vintage I go with Vaughan & Bushnell because I will only use hickory handles.
Vaughan really is the best in general though, so I go with Vaughan a lot for vintage hammers too.
