Player elimination is a powerful way to force player to weigh out decisions. I usually dislike it when you need to eliminate the players early in order to make the game move forward. EG Monopoly ( <3 )... Getting a score of 0 because you didn't make it makes for a good story, and you can move on to another game.

This video is so well done. Good stuff!

This looks really well done. The variability and how a new tile with multiple "rooms" and paths will somehow work out with the other tiles already laid. I wasn't too interested in the game before, but now it's got my attention. Thanks for the review!

Great to hear your thoughts on this! 😁. Personally I don't mind the player elimination so much. I have played dozens of games of the various editions of Clank! (I own Clank in space) and I think I had one player die and get 0 point only once. It was kinda frustrating I admit... but IIRC that player tried to push his luck a little too much and ended up dying one space before the "safer" zone.

What interests me in this one is the fact that you build the board as you go. I may end up selling my Clank in space copy to get this one.

We have had some rough games with people either being fully eliminated or dying above ground. This is typically the player who knew they would lose if they didn't keep pushing their luck. This stopped happening after getting used to the game but definitely is rough in a 3+ player game who don't play regularly. My partner and I enjoy it as a 2p game though!

I need to get this. My only experience with clank so far was clank legacy. Really liked that one., this tile laying format sounds like something I'd enjoy

I usually hate player elimination but I don't mind it in this game for a couple of reasons. First, when a player gets KO'ed, they get to draw dragon cubes from the bag on their turn so they aren't really eliminated and they can try and take out the other players, which is fun. Second, most of the time you get KO'ed, it's because you got greedy and delved too deeply and that's on you.

This makes me want to buy it, it looks like a lot of fun.

I do have an off topic question. Have you heard of "Wizards of the grimoire"? Its a player card game that semi recently came out.
