What would a mobile phone portfolio be today without a "mini" title in it, and Alcatel hops on the bandwagon with the Idol mini - a 4.3" handset with 480x854 pixels of resolution. The screen seems to be of average quality, neither too bright, nor with very wide viewing angles, clocking contrast and brightness shift when tilted, but nothing significant...

This handset looks interesting and Alcatel did a good job adding more capacity to its processor. The external aspect of this phone is also attractive, actually this brand supplies great designs in almost all of its models!

I saw one at SM Megamall! And it's only Php6, 990 at the Alcatel Kiosk, Cyberzone. It's on sale, SRP is Php7, 990 or Php7, 490 (not sure). It has 8gb internal memory (no slot for SD card), It looks very nice. At first I thought it's an iPhone that the Saleslady is using but when I asked her, it's Idol Mini. Haha.

elle rawr (I can't reply to you directly :/). Is the phone laggy? Or does it work smoothly? I'm considering buying this phone, because of the camera features (LED flash and "selfie" front camera (?)) and there isn't anything else out there with this features for its price (at least in Argentina...) :(

I have problem with my Alcatel Idol Mini.Sometimes says that it hasn't put any sim card in, but the sim card is in the phone!It happens ones or twice in a week!Please help guys!

Amazing quality and design(easy to hold and very light, believe me, beats other smart phone when it comes to design: galaxy and iphone), very solid and screen is awesome with no lag. Sound quality if not equal much better than others,  but the catch is THE PRICE, just wow! Battery is also great. The only let down is the internal storage.

Here in New Zealand, got it on sale for 149 which is like 124 USD.

It depends, if the manufacturers custum UI is too heavy than yes.. 512MB is required at minimum. But for stock android or pure android 512 will runs like butter
