Maman Angeline's memory leaves her most days, but sometimes, when the taste of one of her old recipes hits her tongue, something sparks and she remembers... even if only for a few moments. Warly promised himself he would always be there for the times she shined through the clouds, and cooks her his favorite dishes from childhood each night in hopes of getting the chance to visit with dear old maman.

So heres a good few things I learned about Warly.

When he inspects a boomerang, he states that he was separation anxiety.
His mother is all alone, and Warly use to be her provider.

Now put that together and I can see Warly just being always depressed all the time, and his coping method to handle the stress is cooking meals that remind him of home.

Yeah and I thought Wendy was the saddest character ever.

This is exactly what it's like to have loved ones with Alzheimer's. I watched as my grandma, the sweetest woman in the world, slowly faded until all that was left was a body. There were times just like this where she'd come back for a few brief moments and be gone the next minute. I know this was just a trailer for a game but I appreciate you sharing the reality of how horrible a disease it is.

Warly was always my husband's favorite, being that he's a self-proclaimed chef.

His mom was recently diagnosed with brain cancer that quickly took her quality of life, but before it killed her he made her a meal- And even though she couldn't hardly eat, she could smell. One of the last happy moments I saw was of her watching him cook wistfully, enjoying the smells of the kitchen and wanting to eat that home-made meal.
I watch this and grieve, but am also really glad that he gave color to her gray world one last time. Thank you, Klei.
