Nathan Boles: What are some ways to increase muscular endurance during metcons? I find myself running out of air quickly during metcons and feeling dizzy, light headed, etc. if I redline my heart rate. If you have any advice, I would be very grateful. Thanks so much.

Hit the heavy bag for 2 hours, 3 minute intervals of varying intensity but keep moving, with a 30 second rest. Do this every other day to allow enough recovery and glycogen stores to replenish, do interval rows on the other days with strength programs, if you feel good, do a metcon. You'd be fit, lean, have insane endurance, be strong, and know how to open a can of whoop ass without the can opener.

For longer workouts, apply the 80/80 rule: For the first 80% of the time, go at 80% of max effort, last part go all out. This way you don't burn up too fast

I'm obsessed with crossfit the sport.. that kind of brings along the mandatory respect for an athlete like Rich. It's like Muay Thai being your favourite martial art, you more or less have to respect and idolize Buakaw. I also know every Crossfit troll in the history of human civilization feels the need to comment on a Rich Froning video so I supply where there's demand. Just a clarification.

How would you improve muscular endurance? At low and medium intensity I can go all day, but as soon as I push to high intensity I die out immediately. I have this problem with any exercise.

Ohh ok haha. I know what you mean. I respect Rich and idolize him. Jason Khalipa is my favorite though. He just seems like an awesome guy to hangout with and throwdown with.

I've seen you comment something like that on almost every single crossfit video I've seen haha. I'll Rich is a monster, but you seem a little to obsessed with Rich. Not hating or calling you gay or anything like that. Just an observation.
