Something needs to happen to make sure swatting someone is treated as the level of crime that it really is.

swatting should be treated as attempted murder and the perpetrator should be sentenced accordingly.

People who swat others for harmful reasons need to have their location bugged and they need to be taken to jail, nobody should have to deal with this much stress if they have done nothing wrong

They're not thinking "What a funny prank" they're thinking "Dammit, they lived."

the worst part about all of that was that qt turning off ludwig's stream started a whole reddit thread which talked about how qt is a jealous girlfriend because her boyfriend is more successful than her, which is why she turned the stream off etc, when they were literally getting swatted.
i can't even imagine going through getting swatted and nearly dying, only to find a reddit thread full of uninformed jerks insulting me the very next morning.

(got this info from the full interview)

The worst part is that they (the LAPD) made an agreement that whenever they get a call for this house they would literally call Ludwig to verify anything before they show up. But they just never do it.

Swatters wasted emergency service's resources that other real victims needed. There should be laws punishing this behaviour.

the weirdest part about all of this is that making a false police report is actually a crime, at least in the U.S (pretty sure it's a felony or its up there close to one), but for some reason no one actually gets in trouble for it.
like wtf is the point in it being illegal if the police are just gonna let people get away with it anyway?

People have DIED from this “prank” and QT is legit talking about her trauma from it and people just think it’s still funny to put streamers life in danger because they are able to do something that the one who called the swat can’t. It’s all jealousy and stupidity and I feel bad for streamers that have to deal with that stuff

unfortunately when she describes “it’s not a silly prank it’s ruining people’s lives” that’s exactly what they want to do lol it’s not fans doing it it’s psychos

Swatting in the USA should be considered attempted murder.

People do not understand, those people do not view it as a "funny prank" they view it as it is; A way to traumatize and punish creators. It is always on purpose.

Nobody thinks it’s a prank. Everyone knows it’s going to have negative affects that’s why they do it.

Swatting should be considered attempted murder and anyone caught should be convicted for a minimum 5 year sentence.

On Ludwig’s podcast, The Yard, one of the hosts there (Slime) talks about his experience being swatted at that location too. He talks about how it’s very easy to get killed in these due to how conflicting the information is. It’s very pressuring when you’re being held at gun point too with a damn shotgun and a super bright light.

I don’t think people understand that all it takes is one bad officer having a terrible day and *poof* no more QT or Lud. And if they do understand, then they should be in jail.

I don’t blame them, I don’t know why people on social media feel so entitled to others, I would be so scared to step out of my house in a situation like that, they could just fire on you.

Swatting is basically attempted manslaughter and should be charged as such. If the call comes from an international source then interpol should be involved. If nothing is done about Swatting then we should start swatting politicians until they take it seriously.

The fact that she said "sometimes it's the SAME cops" just shows that the lapd are just... that bad.. if you had false calls about the SAME LOCATION before yet you're still going back to it as if it was real is traumatizing to the homeowners...
