This is the book trailer for A Greek Tragedy: One Day, A Deadly Shipwreck, and the Human Cost of the Refugee Crisis by Jeanne Carstensen, Atria / One Signal, 2025.

The book launched March, 2025.

On a personal note, working with my friend Jeanne Carstensen and all of the wonderful collaborators to make this short film was a true pleasure. It's such an important book and it deserves a very wide audience.

It's an excellent book. It reads like a novel, but says so much about the crisis the world faces today.

The Oct 28, 2015, shipwreck is so poignant and personifies the international refugee crisis engulfing the world. This book, A Greek Tragedy, shows what happened by closely following four survivors and the people on Lesvos who helped them. I finished this book with a tear in my eye, choking in my throat, and determination to try and help.

Yes
Thanks for the book and preview
Refugees are all over Greece and Europe has a huge problem as the wars go on…

For this year it is too late. But the issues are very timely.
She could connect with the APA. There may well be District Branches that can have her as a speaker and feature her book. This is timely indeed!

why would you call the book A Greek Tragedy?
Greece didn't initiate any of this
they just got caught up in the situation and are doing the best they can
