It is used mostly in understanding interpersonal relationship i.e. the interactions between two people.
STUDY OF SELF AWARENESS: It is essential that one knows about his/her personality and at the same time even have knowledge of others too.

Johari Window given by Luft and Harrigton helps us in understanding ourselves and even others

Open Self: It is something about which a person knows and at the same time others also know about that person.

Blind Self: When a person does not know a particular trait of his/her personality but others know it.

Hidden Self: It is a trait which a person hides or keeps confidential from others.

Unknown self: When none of the parties know the feature or quality of each other is basically a part of Unknown self
Child Ego: When a person’s traits are characterized by immature behavior, they are said to be of a part child ego personality. It includes joy, anxiety, dependence etc.

Adult Ego: When a person is wise and shows the quality of contemplation over a concern and provides solutions to it, he/she is said to be having a adult ego.

Parent Ego: A person’s traits in this are characterized by being protective, rule maker, moralizing etc

Analysis of transactions: It is a technique of examining the interpersonal communication between at least two individuals.

Script Analysis: It is basically a program which is developed in a person’s mind in the childhood under parents.
