I read I’ll Be Gone in the Dark last year and I haven’t seen anyone else talk about it! I’m so glad to hear your take on it. I absolutely loved it. I was watching it in the wake of his trial so I was glad it has a sense of closure to it now. So sad she wasn’t alive to see it. This video was great. You’ve given so many amazing recommendations 🤔

I bought The Beach after you spoke about it in one of your videos and brought it with me on vacation to the beach this week. I read Know My Name Last Year. It was exceptional! This year’s favorites so far: The Yellow Wife, The Pull of the Stars, The Exiles, and Maybe You should Talk to Someone. I’m currently halfway through The Girl with the Louding Voice, and I think that will make the list, too!

I really think that based on your enjoyment of A Little Life in terms of its character development and parental relationships, you will love Betty by Tiffany McDaniel. Take care.

Yes! The Beach!! I read it 15 years ago and it's still one of my favorites that I push on everyone who asks for a recommendation lol. Love Alex Garland.
