Nice review...but you left out a VERY important feature, especially for folks using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. You said there was no place to store your phone, but in fact, there's a perfect place to store it. Lexus added the "Phone Slot" just above the CD player and it houses even my large iPhone 11 Pro. The phone goes in sideways so it doesn't fall out, you can't even see that it's in the slot, and there's ample room for the cord plug since the phone has to be tethered for CarPlay/Android Auto. The compartment is rubberized on the bottom so your phone doesn't slide out accidentally. But the only way that would happen is if the car could accelerate from 0-60 in about 3 seconds...that's not definitely not happing with this car!

I totally get why some things bother you about this car, but if you change the target demographic a little bit, I think it's the perfect car. I'm a retired geek and while I love the fact Lexus has finally gotten their head out of the sand with this new infotainment system...I think some of the things you consider as negatives are not for me. But then again...I'm retired and 70+. At 40 I would have hated this engine...now I love it. I no longer want a boatload of horsepower under the hood. I drove the non-Hybrid before I bought mine and hated the sound of the engine...really, really HATED it.

This is my fourth Lexus (three previous RX 350s '10, '13, '17) and I truly like this car much more than the RX. Yes, cargo space sucks, but the seating is surprisingly almost as good as the RX. And to me, the driver's seat seems actually more comfortable. I can reach everything better and front visibility is great (not so much the rear, as you stated...there's a lot of blind spots there).

Anyway, great review, thanks for taking the time to post it.

(And BTW, my wife has a 2017 RAV4 and I don't think there is a comparison in ride or comfort...and yes, I do realize it's the same chassis.)

The UX is the smallest Lexus crossover/SUV available.

I had the 2019 Lexus NX as a loaner it’s a fun vehicle to drive. Very luxurious fast and sporty.

I got the Lexus NX300 non-hybrid and it’s awesome! It’s luxurious and rides like a cloud. Definitely a head turner wherever I go lol. I’m happy I did not pick the hybrid because it’s a bit noisy.

I absolutely LOVE mine!. I got the 2020 hybrid in white. I keep my bike racks on because I like the look 😁. Very luxurious looking, even with the touch of sport. Turns heads very often and GREAT on gas❤️.

I like it every time when you wish to make a point and you say "Buyaa!" thank you for this review, however for my money I'm getting the Subaru Forester Sport on Labor Day sale.
I'm a long time subscriber to your channel, and I thank you for all of your reviews over the years and on different brands, they are informative and fun, I truly enjoy them.

UX is the smallest SUV for Lexus. There are many folks out there that do not care for this.I have to say, I have a 2019 NX300 FSport, absolutely AMAZING SUV. Sorry, do not agree with all your negative comments on this vehicle.

Best review that I have heard so far we want to know what the challenges are with a vehicle as well as the good to be able to better judge for ourselves how a vehicle fits our needs.

Actually the UX is the smallest crossover in Lexus’s lineup now. And what’s the point? Ummm, it’s the most competitive segment of the market.

Atleast the hybrid is greener, less CO2 etc

If they put the rav4 hybrid drive train to this one, I might consider. It has to get rav4 gas mileage tho. If not, I'll go rav4 any day of the week. Waiting for crv hybrid to compare with rav4 hybrid

“Let’s break this down like Turbo and Ozone” lol. I guess I’m showing my age cause I think that was hilarious.

Well one thing is for sure it is more likely excellent on long term ownership reliability although the mention of CVT is the only downside for me

No one floors a hybrid car.... it defeats the purpose of owning a hybrid

A family member bought one of these, the non-hybrid version though. I asked them how their RAV4 was and they got pissed 😂😂

It's a ct200h replacement...which I wanted but now I don't want a car or a hybrid with less than 200hp. I have a Prius...argh. I do not like the Rav 4...I think...I might look at Ford bronco hybrid. 🙃

Isn't the UX the smallest crossover in the Lexus lineup?

Funny on point review, but you missed some other MAJOR points. I can't believe they didn't upgrade it to the layout/engine/specs of the 2019 RAV4! Not to mention the 40mpg's of the Toyota's! The torque feel of the electric acceleration almost balances out the 40hp. The RAV4h isn't leasing well AT ALL. Lexus leases are usually much better. I'd pick a hybrid over gas just to not have a stinky garage when backing in, and they're more quite on the highway. It is NOT THE ForTuner (mini land cruiser) it should be in the US market, check those out! My 94 Corolla has those blue LCD gauages, I love those, but talk about retro! THE CD is fine, but not when it takes up half the dashboard area.

That rear deck guard is the best I've ever seen. They spent more time on the storage area than they did on the engine. LOL Maybe have an L version 7 passenger. The 350 and Highlander drive like boats.
