flush buttons are not "whatever" if you were taking a piss then smaller one, bigger one is for "more content" - we are trying to save water here for god's sake...

Small button for short flush, big button for long flush. The blue bin is for paper. This colour code is valid in the whole EU 😊

Fun fact... to stop actually originates from the German word "stopfen/stoppen" so we did not infact steal your language but it is the other way around...
In fact lots of English originates in older forms of German and French😊

Edit: Dear everyone, since this comment seams to offend quite a lot of people: while to stop does indeed come from Germanic not German quite a lot of German was brought to England through the centuries...

American telling European, the Europeans stole the english is the most American thing I've heard all day. XD

In Spain, STOP also the first letter combination of "Siempre Tienes Obligación de Parar" (You must always stop). That's why it is accepted in Spanish traffic signs code. Also, it is a sign shared with the rest of European drivers and there is no need for translating it into "PARE" as it is seen in South America.

Just in case people didn't realise, the duel flush toilet is an Australian invention. Australia is a very dry continent, and we have to conserve water from time to time.

England needs to charge the US for the use of their language — plus a surcharge for butchering it.

That second one was me moving to my current place. Everywhere I've lived, it was black bin for general waste and green bin for recycling, paper and plastic. You could get a separate box for glass or you'd save it and take it to the tip or a bottle bank yourself. Now I live somewhere with a bin for general, a bin for plastic, a bin for paper, and a bin for garden waste.

Fun fact: People in spain have sometimes spraypainted an E and an A on the stop signs so it forms E STOP A, because of the (LEGENDARY) spanish "band" (well its only two guys) Estopa.

Bonus fact: As a kid hyperfixating on Estopa I started pointing out every single stop sign in my town. Id be saying things like they were pokemons or smth like "oh looks this area has extra rare signs! Theres a double one, a shorter one, one thats a different shade of red..."

The word stop dates back like 200+ years before Americas independence 💀

Some grocery stores won't allow workers to sit. I used to work for one and the manager would lose her marbles every time she saw me sitting on a chair and when i go to other brand stores, i see czshiers sitting down and enjoying life and it boiled my blood.
