I have a feeling that the pollution in China doesn't help. A lot of people have respiratory illness from poor air quality. With the immune system so compromised the virus has a field day.

I'm not sure where you are getting this low mortality rate. I'm seeing 51 reported cured / recovered and 81 deaths. So either the reported cured rate is grossly unaccurate or the death rate is more like 60%

I believe it gets transmitted by breathing near a person who has it, just like a cold, someone breaths the same air and it gets passed on to others
