So apparently the Brazil fandom of One Piece is LOSING THEIR MINDS over this chapter. There's a book written by an englishman in 1819 that has a character named "Luis Arnote", and this book is used in history lessons in Brazil. When the character "Louis Arnote" is first mentioned in One Piece, it is from a book called "Brag Men"... and in the book "História do Brazil" it is said that the character "Luis Arnote" invents absurd tales, or in other words, you can say that he is a man that brags... Given how Oda has linked Luffy and Brazil, there seems to be something COOKING

One cool observation that I had was that nearly every giant we see in the story seems to have a “partner” of sorts to compliment and contrast them (Dorry and Broggy, Oimo and Kashii, Jarul and Jorul, we even see Hajrudin with Stansen and Gerd with Goldberg), with the sole exception being Rodo

So I believe that Rodo is made to not have a partner except his pets and “live dolls” to exemplify not only his eccentric tendencies but that he is a giant that doesn’t fit with the lifestyle of the giants of Elbaf.

(Also possibly that Rodo is a parallel to Usopp and his “sun god” persona is meant to be an analogue to sogeking)

@5:00 the whole “do not overstay your welcome” thing seriously sounds like a reference to the Old Norse concept of hospitality, which is about protecting your guests (as opposed to giving food and shelter) and in return your guest would offer you a gift; the catch is that if the guest threatened you or attempted harm, then you were no longer expected to play nice….

6:20 My first thought on reading the warning was that maybe time moves differently on Elbaf. Arnot says "Do not regret your lost time here." and "Do not overstay your welcome."
I think it's possible that when the Strawhats leave Elbaf they will have been there longer than they expected...

I like that the Bonney&Robin scene has the shiny pattern Oda uses to indicate that a character is really having the time of his/her life.

Also, maybe, the final message could be a hint of what happened to the author. "I could not stop exploring this immense land and I lost myself in it". Just immagine how much time would take to explore the entire Warland. The first prison-castle is bigger than entire islands.
