"To Have And Have Not" (1944) is amazing. Love that Hawks picture. Perfect pairing of Bogart & Bacall, their first as well. It's a loose take on Hemingway. There's another film a noir from director Michael Curtiz called "The Breaking Point" (1950) that is closer to Hemingway's work. Both classics in their own right.

Great haul. Across the universe is a great film. One of my personal favorites. There is a 4K release, but only through Amazon. The 4k looks amazing & is worth the upgrade in my opinion. Hope all is well.

Awesome pick ups! 3 movies I would suggest if you don’t have them would be Mr. Church, Edge of Seventeen, and Perks of being a Wallflower.

That CD Warehouse in Marietta GA is amazing. I've been there 3-4 times, they have quite the treasure trove. Its also better than the one in Duluth.

It's interesting that here in Burbank which is really the center of the American Film Industry that our local used blu-ray stores rarely have titles from the Warner Archive collection. Always lots of other boutique titles at great prices. ( I work at Warner Bros. and wish that I had access to the Archive titles at a discount price, )

That is a great find on The Apartment Arrow blu-ray. If you like cinema related books, you may be interested to know that Shirley MacLaine has a new book - The Wall of Life: Pictures and Stories from This Marvelous Lifetime - being released later this month on Oct 22.

Awesome video! Cronos is a must - I’ve got that edition too. I hope you got Yor! Ha. No horror section in the first store? Too bad. Great video nonetheless! 😎👍🏻 -Aaron

Great team! I miss those blu ray stores, they're gone and done here in Brazil since 2012, I think. And don't let Mike Nichols light films fool you. Virginia Woolf is harsh and heavy stuff.

I actually saw Yor : The Hunter From the Future in the theater! I was ten years old. It was the Summer of 1983. My family and I were on vacation in Maine. We went every summer for about five years. On that trip, my father took me to see Yor, Krull, and Wargames! My old man loved movies as much as I did....even crappy movies like Yor.

To Have and Have Not was made after a conversation Hemingway and Hawks had during a hunting trip. Basically Hemingway and Hawks agreed it was his worst novel and Hemingway then said no one could make a movie out of it and Hawks took the challenge.
