I have and it is an excellent and loud lightweight little beast, and for the price its amazing. The amp has quite the sonic presence in any given room and that quality unfortunately doesnt best come through in video. Its just my own testimonial at the end of the day, but if your on your local shop and they have one definitely give it a go, wont hurt you and you might be suprised. I quite like the general idea of the amp, but It's a bit too much to fiddle with.
I wish there was something simpler, like an MV50 combo, with the controls from the AC10, plus an FX loop. Straight forward and useful!👍

This should be a great amp for home use, even for smaller gigs. There are always going to be people denying speakers other than 12" and circuits other than vacuum tubes. I personally look for the tone. My 15W Pathfinder could deliver impressively full tones with its 8" speaker, my Tonelab EX brings fantastic amp sims and effects, and the VX50 GTV is the successor of these 2 things (in a way or two), and as such should be even better than those. So give me more sound samples and I'm happy to pre-order

At first I was bummed to learn it doesn't have an FX loop, but I sort of understand why now that I've taken a deeper look. The amp is designed to be used as either a self-contained "get all your basic tones this way" sort of black box, or as a fairly neutral amp and cab for your pedal-based rig (line) function, and thus could be used as a backup if something on your pedalboard fails, I suppose! It sure is extremely compact and light weight.

I have the MV50, if Vox wants to win over Katana, they need a 12" Speaker, effects loop, nice to pedals and extension Cab hookup. 8" Speakers are for bedroom players. If I was to buy a modelling amp it would be the Katana. I have my MV50 hooked up to a 2x12 with a reverb and drive. For live I use a Marshall combo, might give it a go for a giggle when live music starts again.

It sounds quite good, and the modeling is all fine, but what I want is a NEW amp, something with its own character. You have the VX50 here, and the lower powered VX15 is in the same enclosure. Why not make another version, same enclosure, with no modeling, but a UNIQUE circuit, optimized for this amp? Maybe the development would cost too much money, and likely changes the demographic for which this amp was designed, since it's clearly designed as a lightweight practice amp. But I think that if you cut out the modeling aspect and designed this amp around its Nu-tube technology and ported ABS cabinet construction, you would have something special, and more interesting (marketable to different consumers) as a result. Or, if all of this is too complicated, retain the existing design, but among all the models, add one more setting: "VX50" - the sound of the amp itself!

This amp looks awesome, the only. thing I'm concerned about is how full it's going to sound. I Hope it has a speaker out, so it can be hooked up to a bigger cab. 😌
